關於此計劃 About

BUILD A HOME 彩繪改造計畫是嚮光的代表性系列計畫，透過藝術家與社區之間的互動式工作坊，共同展開一段美化生活空間的旅程。這樣的共創過程，不只是改造空間，更重要的事，讓住在裡面、在這裡長大與懷有夢想的人，能真正感受到這是屬於自己的地方。

彩繪改造計畫從 2014 年開始，源自一項與桃園睦祥育幼院合作的夏季藝術裝置計畫。當時我們邀請了 14 位不同背景的創作者，和孩子們一起討論「什麼是家？什麼是溫暖和愛？」再把這些想法，一點一點變成作品，呈現在 14 個空間裡，從房間到樓梯，每一個角落都變得有故事。

過去十年間，我們持續與藝術家、孩子以及樂齡們合作，陸續於台中慈馨兒少之家、南港樂齡據點等地推動空間改造計畫，並預計於 2026 年前拓展至台東新馬蘭部落莉卡希望學苑及更多據點，持續讓藝術成為連結人與空間的重要媒介。

About BUILD A HOME

BUILD A HOME is a Bright Side Projects signature series is a journey beautifying lived in space through interactive workshops between artists and the community. This collaborative effort makes spaces meaningful and personal for those that grow and dream there.

BUILD A HOME first began in 2014, hatched as a special summer art installation program collaboration between the youth of Taoyuan Muhsiang Children’s Home and Bright Side Projects. 14 creators from diverse backgrounds were asked to brainstorm alongside the children to render the meaning of home, warmth, and love into artistic masterpieces through 14 spaces from bedrooms to staircases.

In the decade since, we have continued to collaborate with artists and children as well as older friends in beautify Taichung Tsu-Hsin Child’s Home, Nangang senior community, and Taitung FUKID LIKAT afterschool care program before the end of 2026.

2014 桃園睦祥育幼院

2014年夏天，睦祥育幼院舊院因『桃園航空城計畫』需要搬遷，而新址是廢棄的國小，建築內部多處斑駁。

嚮光因此開啟了「BUILD A HOME 彩繪改造計畫 — 睦祥新家改造大作戰」，由睦祥育幼院的孩子跟嚮光協會一起合作，召集了14位藝術家與孩子們一同對睦祥即將搬遷的新家中14個空間提出想法。

2014 Taoyuan MuHsiang Children’s Home

One of Bright Side Project’s cornerstone art empowerment projects BUILD A HOME, empowers youth and adults to have a say and participation in the space they use and live in (call home). 10 years ago we undertook our first Build a Home project in Taoyuan MuHsiang Children’s Home, inviting 14 artists to renovate and artistically beautify 14 spaces and rooms alongside the children who live there.

2017 台中慈馨兒少之家

延續 2014 的 BUILD A HOME，2017 我們來到台中慈馨兒少之家。我們堅持讓藝術家、大朋友和孩子們一起腦力激盪，共同執行創作。希望 BUILD A HOME 的創作計劃能夠每年持續在台灣不同的兒少機構舉辦，發揮更深更廣的影響力！

2017 Tsu-Hsin Child’s Home

Continuing our BUILD A HOME project since 2014, we were very excited to be able to meet the kids of Tsu Tsu-Hsin Child’s Home to get an idea of what they wanted for the mural that would be in their home.

Artists, Big Friends, and Kids brainstorm together and create together. We hope that BUILD A HOME can be a part of many other children centric institutions in Taiwan on an annual basis. Hopefully in the future we can improve even further and to do more.
